ABOUT COLDENHAM
Coldenham Reformed Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, located in the Coldenham community of Orange County in New York’s Hudson River Valley. We are deeply committed to God’s Word, the Bible, and to seeing Christ’s kingdom grow in our region and throughout the world. As a Reformed church, we hold to the historic teachings of the Protestant Reformation and subscribe to the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms as faithful summaries of biblical teaching.
Our Presbyterian form of church government comes from the Greek word presbuteros, meaning “elder.” We believe Christ is the only head and King of the church, and that His rule is expressed through elders who serve and shepherd His people. Our congregation has worshiped and served Christ in this community for more than 200 years, beginning with the organization of the Coldenham church in 1798 and later joining with a daughter congregation in Newburgh in 1975.
